How to become a Smashing Magazine Author

ThemeFlash primary goal is to deliver quality material for designers and web-developers.  To provide our readers with even more good stories and useful insights we can use your help.

Who can become a Themflash author?

Anyone! We do not require you to have any experience as an established writer or blogger. However, if you do not have a blog for us to take a look at, we would need to take a look at some of your sample writing.

We are interested in forging long term collaborations with our guest writers. We’ll provide you with detailed guidelines and suggestion, so you will know exactly what we expect and what we are interested in.

Themeflash is a design blog with a focus on typography, design trends, inspiration, CSS, HTML, WordPress, jQuery, minimalism and blogging.

What We’re Looking For?

If submitting a guest post still sounds like something you’d like to pursue, we’d love to hear from you. We like it when people write well, but also so that humans can read it. Conversation without the lecture hall. As far as posts go, we’re particularly fond of the following:

• Tutorials. The type that take you from start to finish, and don’t have ambiguous gaps or cliffhangers.
• Showcases with substance. The type that have a solid overview to accompany the link roundup.
• Articles that discuss topics relevant to a knowledgeable web niche.
• Motivation. Success stories, cool offices, etc. Inspiration comes from strange places sometimes.

In addition to this list of the basics, we’re open to any reasonable suggestions. Feel free to pitch your thoughts, and we’ll see if we can work something out.

Requirements

So I created a list so you can see what you can achieve and what’s required, if you are contributing on Themeflash:

1. Full name, second name
2. Short biography about Yourself to get people to know You;
3. Website URL – if You are writing blog already, You’ll have a great chance to leave backlink, so  people can read more about You and Your articles
4. Gravatar or avatar – add small image, so people can easily identify You, gravatars are used usually in comments worldwide, twitter etc.

In the past few months, Themeflash have seen some phenomena growth and we can offer you a small token of our appreciation and exposure for yourself.

• Each guest writer is acknowledged at the bottom of the article as the author along with links to official website(s) as well as a short but detailed biography.
• Great exposure to a persistently growing traffic.
• Our link are set to “follow”.
